Jana Gana Mana Movie Plot :
Once upon a time in the bustling world of Central University in Ramanagaram, a spirited and socially-conscious professor named Prof. Saba Mariyam met a tragic fate, raising suspicions of murder. Outraged by the loss of their beloved mentor, the students of the college, led by the determined Gouri Lakshmi, rallied together to demand justice for Saba’s untimely demise. Their peaceful protests, however, were met with brutal force by the state police, sparking a wave of nationwide demonstrations against police brutality.
In response to the mounting pressure, the Karnataka government appointed ACP Sajjan Kumar to take charge of the investigation into Saba’s death. As Sajjan delved into the case, he uncovered a startling truth: four individuals were responsible for setting her on fire. Swiftly making arrests, he was poised to bring the culprits to justice. But his efforts were thwarted when he was abruptly removed from the case due to a web of political manipulation at the higher echelons of the police force. Fearing that the accused might escape the judicial system’s grasp, Sajjan hatched a daring plan. Under the pretense of reconstructing the crime scene for evidence, he confronted the perpetrators and tragically ended their lives.
This audacious act turned Sajjan into an unexpected hero in the eyes of the public, who had grown weary of the seemingly endless cycle of injustice. Yet, as is often the case, there were those who questioned the legitimacy of his actions. Human rights activists lodged a complaint, igniting a legal battle that would play out in court.
Facing the courtroom drama head-on was Advocate Aravind Swaminathan, who masterfully exposed a startling truth to the entire nation: the case itself was a carefully woven tapestry of deception. The Karnataka government had orchestrated the entire affair as a ploy to secure their position in the upcoming elections, with Sajjan as the unwitting puppet master behind the scenes. In actuality, Saba’s demise was at the hands of Vidyasagar, a colleague who had been accused by her of mistreating a student named Vidya due to her caste. The tragedy took the form of a hit-and-run incident, which had grabbed national headlines overnight. Upon learning this, Home Minister Nageshwara Rao, swayed by Sajjan’s strategic counsel, seized the opportunity to garner popular support ahead of the elections, capitalizing on the incident.
Sajjan found himself in custody, yet an unexpected twist revealed that he had confessed his misdeeds to Aravind through his fellow officer Murthy, driven by a powerful sense of guilt. This confession marked a chance for Sajjan to seek redemption. Now imprisoned, he encountered Murthy, who disclosed the arrest of Vidyasagar and unveiled Aravind’s hidden history. Aravind, a former DCP, had been wronged by Nageshwara Rao, leading to personal losses including the tragic death of his wife Padma and a wrongful imprisonment. Armed with information from Murthy, Aravind hatched a vengeful plan using Saba’s case to bring Nageshwara Rao to his knees.
As the pieces fell into place, Aravind discarded his crutches, both metaphorically and literally, and prepared to confront Nageshwara Rao, culminating in a thrilling showdown that would change the course of their intertwined destinies.
