Enemy Movie Plot
1996: Picture a charming town called Ooty where Chozhan Ramalingam and Rajiv Parirajan, two inseparable buddies, are being trained by Rajiv’s dad, Parirajan, a former CBI officer. They’re being groomed for a future in the police force. However, a twist of fate introduces a tinge of jealousy into their friendship as Chozhan’s talents outshine Rajiv’s. Things take a somber turn when Rajiv stumbles upon his father’s lifeless body, casting a shadow over their camaraderie. The incident prompts the boys to be taken to the police station. Though Chozhan believes he can crack the case using his skills, his risk-averse father Ramalingam whisks him away, leaving Rajiv feeling isolated.
2021: Fast forward to the present, where Chozhan has evolved into a departmental store owner in Singapore, guided by Ramalingam. But here’s the twist – by night, he moonlights as a secret do-gooder, fighting minor injustices and corruption to help his Tamil community. Life takes a turn when a gas company mishap claims lives, and Chozhan takes it upon himself to unearth the responsible party. His vigilante mission leads him to Joseph, the culprit, who’s handed over to the police. The next day, Arundathi Mohan, a significant Indian External Affairs minister, comes to Singapore to connect with the Tamil community. Chozhan’s intuition kicks in when he realizes her pacemaker has been tampered with, and he springs into action to save her life.
After a brief stint in police custody, Chozhan is released, his intentions validated. His tip-off results in Rajiv’s arrest – now a seasoned assassin hired to eliminate the Indian minister by a Beijing-based tycoon. Rajiv manages to flee, however, leaving behind chilling threats against the police officers’ families. A face-off between Chozhan and Rajiv uncovers their longstanding feud’s origins: the day they parted ways, Rajiv impulsively killed Parirajan after being admonished for misusing his skills. Adding fuel to the fire, Parirajan had predicted that Chozhan would forever outshine Rajiv.
Rajiv claims to have outgrown Chozhan in every way and issues a challenge – save someone he’s planning to abduct. Chozhan orchestrates an engagement surprise for Ashvitha, gathering his loved ones together to ensure their safety. But a wrench is thrown into the works when Pinky, Chozhan’s cousin’s daughter, goes missing. Rajiv contacts him, admitting to Pinky’s abduction and impending harm. Chozhan’s response? He kidnaps Rajiv’s pregnant wife, Anisha. This sets the stage for a tense standoff: Chozhan threatens Anisha’s life unless Pinky is unharmed.
A meeting between Chozhan and Rajiv takes place to exchange their captives. As Pinky is safely released, Chozhan puts forth a deal: he’ll return Anisha to India unscathed if Rajiv surrenders for the deaths of the 11 victims. A reluctant agreement leads to Rajiv’s capture. Chozhan accompanies Anisha to the airport, but tragedy strikes when a hitman sent by the Beijing businessman kills her. Meanwhile, Rajiv escapes prison by inducing an allergic reaction, and his thirst for revenge grows stronger. He kidnaps local children, coercing their parents to kill Ramalingam. When that plan fails, he manipulates Ramalingam into suicide, revealing the dark secret that he had killed his own father.
In the midst of chaos, Chozhan comes to the rescue, saving the children and confronting Rajiv within a towering skyscraper. An intense showdown unfolds, with Chozhan emerging as the victor, allowing Rajiv to plummet to his death. In a moment of revelation, Chozhan exposes the Beijing corporate’s involvement in Anisha’s murder. Years later, he visits the graves of his mentor Ramalingam and his once-close friend Rajiv, accompanied by his son – symbolizing the closure of a tumultuous journey.
